The ladies' 2s opened their season with a home games against Western Wildcats 5s. From the start of the match, the ladies knew it would be a tough game due to being 1 player short of a full team. Despite this, Dumfries worked well together, putting pressure on the Western Wild Cats. During the first half, 2 Western Wildcats players broke away and scored.
During the second half, Dumfries put more pressure on and nearly scored several times. Dumfries had 6 penalty corners in the last quarter but were unable to convert. The match finished 1 - 0 to Westen Wildcats. Overall, it was a close match with Dumfries only narrowly missing out on the goal.
