Dumfries Ladies 1s produced a all-round performance to secure a 4–0 victory over Glasgow University Ladies 4s, with Jennifer Law starring in attack.
The home side set the tone early in the first quarter when Law opened the scoring with a superb reverse-stick finish from the top of the D, capitalising on sustained pressure and sharp attacking play.
The second quarter proved more challenging for Dumfries, who were reduced to ten players for a period. Despite the numerical disadvantage, Dumfries showed resilience and composure. Jenna Drife doubled the lead with a well-taken goal, before Rebecca Topping added a third shortly after, giving Dumfries a comfortable cushion heading into half-time.
Glasgow University looked to respond in the third quarter, but Dumfries’ defence held firm, limiting their opponents’ opportunities and maintaining control of the game through disciplined positioning and effective game management.
Law completed the scoring in the fourth quarter, netting her second goal of the match to seal a deserved 4–0 win. Her performance earned her Player of the Match, capping off an impressive team display.
