The squad of 9: Harley Bell, Jack Callander, Max Dunlop, Tom Dunlop, Gordon Holmes, Tom Law, Calvin Pettigrew, Wallace Russell and Flint Thomson.
The first game was a 3-1 defeat against Hillhead Hornets, with Gordon Holmes scoring to put Dumfries 1-0 up. Next up was Glasgow Academy, with the Glasgow team edging out the boys in red 1-0. The third game of the day saw us up against Inverleith where the Edinburgh side edged out Dumfries 2-1 with Gordon Holmes scoring again. Next up was another Edinburgh team in Watsonians, with the East District team running out 2-0 winners. Once again Dumfries played against a Hillhead team, this time the Hillhead Hawks where Calvin Pettigrew and Gordon Holmes scored in a 2-0 win. The second last game was a draw against Clydesdale with Tom Law scoring the Dumfries goal. Our last game of the day was against Grange who quickly went 2-0 up, before Wallace Russell scored a quick double. A last second Grange goal meant the game finished 3-2.

A superb effort from all 9 boys today, some excellent hockey and brilliant goals. It was an excellent experience to get to play against boys their own age and against some new teams. Thanks to Hillhead and their Under 16s team for organising and umpiring games.
