It was a glorious Sunday afternoon for the U8s Youth festival at Uddingston today. Due to a couple of late call-offs, Dumfries played with only 3 players in the team.

First game was against Stepps which ended in a 5-0 win - Calvin 3 & Jack 2. Next up was a game against the hosts from whom we borrowed a player to play 4v4, the game ended in a 10-0 win and a debut goal for Luke, well done - Jack 4, Calvin 2, Luke 1 & the other 3 scored by the borrowed player.

Third match was against Western which started with Jack getting hit in the face with the ball. Not to be deterred he would come back and help the team win 9-0 - Jack 5, Calvin 3 & Luke 1

The penultimate game would be against Clydesdale (blue) and ended in a 4-1 win to the team - Luke 2, Calvin 1 & Jack 1. The boys were absolutely gutted to concede the only goal of the day in the game!

Last game was against Clydesdale (orange) and finished with a 7-0 victory - Jack 3, Calvin 3 & Luke 1

Well done to all 3 boys who were fantastic today and showed some excellent skills and teamwork. Special well done to Luke making his first appearance at a West District festival.
