Dumfries Ladies 2s travelled to Uddingston for a re-arranged game on Sunday 1 March at 1500 hours. Unfortunately, they were unable to field a full team, and were reduced to 9 players on Sunday morning, with a call-off due to illness.

Unperturbed, Lily; Kate; Jenna; Susan; Angie; Phoebe; Gladys; Ava and Cerys took to the pitch against a very strong Uddingston squad, worked hard as a team to contain the Uddingston play – digging deep, working together and making Uddingston work to get their goals. Well done, girls – we did our best on the day.

Special mention to our goalkeeper, Lily who was brilliant in goal and was credited for her play by being voted Opposition Player of the Match, and to Kate, in defence who was Captain’s Player of the Match. Thanks to Manager, Jack and Coach, Iain who were supportive from the touchline. Onwards and upwards – next Saturday is a Home game V Glasgow Accies 3s at 1545 hours.
